Another exciting discovery was that one of our inaugural residents, Batool Mohammad has participated as a “contributor” in 89plus | Art Dubai 2015/2016 and kindly included RFAOH in her bio — “…Mohammad recently completed an online residency titled ‘Residency for Artists on Hiatus’ which lasted for six months and during which no art was made.” Nice one, Batool! We’re sure your “post hiatus” activities will encourage “presently on-hiatus” artists to apply to our new call!
Modest and quiet glamour in the age of the Internet
Recently, we have noticed (long after the fact) that RFAOH was brought to attention in two rather different contexts with two rather different focuses. Both are excellent and we love their own takes. In our age of Internet and “rhizome”, what is most curious is everyone’s DIY presence is at once noticed and not noticed at all. We exist and not exist, like residency/non-residency or artist/non-aritst — ohhhh are we all Zen??
